In the first post of this series we saw how to perform RFM client segmentation using the functionality of the PAL library through the AFM graphical environment to generate Flowgraphs.
In the second post we saw how to perform the same segmentation, but using the Hana Machine Learning functionality with the Python API to interact with the PAL library functions.
In today’s post we will see an example of how to exploit sales information along with RFM segmentation in SAP Analytics Cloud using SAP Hana Cloud.
As first step we have a Hana Cloud instance in SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) where we have loaded the transactional data along with the RFM in a Hana schema.
Secondly, we have migrated the project with the models from a Hana on premise instance to Hana Cloud. This way we have our project deployed with the BAS (Business Application Studio) development tool in Hana Cloud.
Thirdly, we have created in SAP Analytics Cloud a model over a live connection with Hana Cloud. The model takes by default all the properties and semantics of the view.
Fourth and finally, we have created a Story in SAC to have a graphical visualization of the sales data and customer segmentation that we have done in the second blog post.
As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, so I leave you a video with the making of the dashboard in SAC (in accelerated time to make it short..😉).
